So I got the Vette done enough for a drive today. Wanted to check out the three major components, and put a little break-in time on the rear diff.
I took it off the jackstands and backed out for a quick drive up the street.
It started getting hot even with the electric fan running, so I headed back home...now I only went about a 1/4 mile up the road....parked in the driveway, shut it off, and looked at the engine to figure why it was running so hot????
I had just Deionized water in it to make sure there was no leaks, then I was going to put antifreeze in it after a shakedown run. Well at one point in time, I drained the system pretty much to change a water pump fitting, then never filled it back up...duh.
I drained the system again in the driveway then filled it back up with 50/50...as I was admiring the sound of the beast, I walked around and thought I should check the lugnut torque again....uhh where's my lug nuts

...wtf, I guess I never tightened them down the first time
I was really lucky, 4 nuts gone, and the last one loose.....
