64 Vette….Rebuild 2.0

It really looks awesome Dave, I so want to see it down on the ground with the new pipes. You going to be done in time for Sunday?!?!?

I don't drive it enough, but I made up my mind when I was restoring it, that it would be a driver, not a garage queen...well it sits in the garage plenty, but I drive it some too. Its just too much fun not to drive it:whistle:.

And from what I witnessed,, When it gets driven, It gets FRIGGIN DRIVEN! Not a babied toy for sure:thumb:

Dave I was hoping you were away from the site because you were finishing the Vette up to race yesterday. But I never saw you, and no phone answer.:dunno: I hope everything is going alright.

Hey guys, just a bad modem at home....I have been in the shop some though, still have a list of small things to take care of before Power Tour. Got the sidepipes and rocker moldings on...only took about 10 hours...:eek1:, but they look sweet...both sides are almost perfectly symmetrical, tips pointed out at the same angle, and hanging at the same height. I did put the muffler inserts in the sidepipes this time...It sounds soooooo good with the headers and Open pipes, but really after driving on the interstate for 15 minutes...the ringing gets to ya....It is quite the docile machine now!

Heath sorry I couldnt' make the drags, I knew Frday was a washout, and didn't even think about Sunday already commited on that day I will get there sometime though...when it looks more possible I'll see what your doing then.
GM is throwing a kickoff party at the proving grounds on that Friday before powertour...thinking about taking a day off and heading to that.
I think I will be driving to the events in Det. and Muskegon for just the day...I am just to nervous about the car being stolen if I leave it in a parking lot overnight.

cool adam, I'll probably try to hit the tour somewhere along I-96 as it goes from east to west.

Drove it to work today, Grandaughter is pretty fond of sitting in it too:

It looks sweet Zim, I'm not usually a big fan of sidepipes, but for some reason that generation of Vette they just look so right on, awesome looking. The stance looks aggressive too, that thing is a show car. Excellent job with it, couldn't of done better.

I agree. that era of vette is one of the ONLY bodies that sidepipes look right on.

On the other hand,,, I'd put 'em on nearly anything JUST to make people stop and do a double take:D
