Yeah, same here.Oh I know, I was just poking fun

Yeah, I would have never guessed!Thats a cool old pic Dave! You certainly can't tell its the same car.
I wouldn't worry about it Heath, it's not like you're selling Amway.Yeah, same here.
Although sometimes I talk like I used to but now I feel like a salesman if it happens to be my product. I don't like that aspect of it. I feel like I lost a little bit of the personal touch of being a member becoming a vendor. I used to recommend products I had experience with, but I didn't have any skin in the game, now it's my income, so it's a little different. Sorry if I come across that way at times, I don't want to be that guy.
Even with beags joke, I look at that expensive hidden mess that could have parts fall into the engine, and you would literally have to remove the intake to change jets, and I think, you could of said the same joke with the first pic of powdercoating (with the plenum taped over) with a volcano, ha ha. But it wouldn't of been funny at all. The way he did it was funny.
In this case, I literally think, oh, it would be perfect for Dave's engine, NA, low hood clearance, looking for more ponies, it's perfect.
But both then I sounded like a salesman, and that's not what I wanted. If it was not my product I could say the same things and not sound like a salesman.
In the middle of a 68 vette frame off resto mode build right now
See the pics below….frame was shot, found a 65 frame for $250 (in 85) so the snowball started rolling an turned into what it is now. I changed a lot…rear fender flare repair sections, front fenders, grill, hood, a bunch of cracks, took off the covers that were glassed over the B pillar vents. Stripped to glass, and built up from there. My BIL finished the bodywork and paint. He did a great job!Thats a cool old pic Dave! You certainly can't tell its the same car.
Since 82!Dave, how long have you had the ‘64?
Yes, glassed onto a midyear small block hood, sold it for a couple hundred and bought the hood I really wanted. Was that an L88 hood scoop?

I wouldn't worry about it Heath, it's not like you're selling Amway.
BTW, did you see Trick Flow has a new single plane intake for the gen 1 sbc now?
The plenum looks a lot more wide open than the Super Victor...
Heath, not to worry about the “sales pitch”. I know you well enough to take the ribbing, and I get the push for improvement and your offer to help. I do appreciate that as well. I have to rein myself in as well. Money is a tight right now w the economy in the shitter, and I’ve already spent plenty on the upcoming changes and know there will be much more before getting into the engine again.
Thanks for the comps!
I paid 3K for it in 82, had to replace the frame (repro's weren't available yet) and the original engine and trans, as well as many small numbered parts were gone. The 2nd owner tried to make it a 67 with the body mods, so I didn't really feel like going the full Numbers Matching Resto. I've always loved the body style, and I'm a hot rodder, so I'm having it the way I want it. Just because so many people ask if its the original engine...after having it decked when the machine work was done, I stamped fu*k off on the engine pad. I've had a few lookers at car shows looking for the numbers, then they stand up straight and look at me with a very puzzled look on their face.....yep thats there for you pal.
Happy Birthday old balls!
