'69 Blazer Build

Brakleen and a toothbrush will get out the last of the rubberized undercoating from the crevices if you're trying to restore and keep the blue paint.

Put scraps of cardboard underneath to catch the mess and let everything fully evaporate before throwing the waste away. Brakleen burns REALLY good if you're careless.....

Glad to see you back on the progress. What size tires are you going to run?

I would like to run 38's, It has a six inch suspension lift, one inch body, and zero rates. 38's may be pushing it though as it will see some off road time. Probably have to drop down to 36's. I will wait and see after everything gets put back together.

Front door pillar, floor and outer rocker installed. Pay no attention to the writing on the brace keeping the door gap in line. That was my Dad being a punk, It says " Junk Me HA HA HA"

Mid summer we will need to get the 69's together for some first gen wheelin.:D

What all will be done to the 454? Rust repair is really coming along. Pic of the dogs cracked me up btw.

The 454 is getting aline honed and bored 20 over. ZZ502 cam is going into it and the heads will be cleaned up. The machine shop was able to get the crank within spec which helped save some cash.

I got all my patch panels from GMCPAULS and I am happy with what i have received. Some need a little massaging which should be expected from a vechile that is over 40 years. The prices they have are great and they communicate real well. They also try to save you on shipping by combining pieces together which is nice.

Thanks for the compliments on the repairs, this is my first attempt at it and I have learned a ton from trail and error, mostly error. Luckly nothing that a grinder could'nt fix.
