Thanks for the offer.

When I was under the truck checking to make sure the switch was operating as it should. I beat on the solenoid for kicks, appeared as if it wanted to switch tanks tonight when I filled up.

As I recall I know it was dicking around on my dad as well. He put a toggle switch inline of the factory switch for some reason I noticed.

Made er back into the homeland trouble free.

Did some back country type stuff over the last few days. Bit of rain, snow, sun, the usual.

Popped the camper off one day to check out a back country hot spring in the middle of nowhere. It was on a old forest service road. We made it up and over a couple old berms they tried to block the trail with over the years. Managed to make our way up an old creek bed with some good sized rocks for a 2wd to get through. Decided to turn around at a small creek crossing before we ended up walking out for a tow. The wife wasn’t to keen on the 2.5 or so mile walk in, didn’t like the isolated feeling with all the wild mountain critters. So we turned back.

Pretty much loaded up that night and left the next day. The road out to civilization was about 12 miles of slop, truck was a complete mess. Lucked out and drove through pouring rain for a few hundred miles of the trip back. Truck looked like it was freshly washed pretty much everywhere I looked so far. I’m quite happy by that.

It also appears my beating of the fuel tank solenoid deal unstuck it and it worked just fine the rest of the way home.

Anywho, on with the pics in no real order.

Yesterday was my dads birthday.

Figured midas well enjoy a beer that he used to pick up once a year on the family ski trip.

Tinkered around a bit, changed the burnt out headlight with one I had layin around and fired in the body mount I got from @max02

Noticed when we got back last week that it was cupping the insides of the tires a bit. Near as I can tell is the tie rods seem a little worn. Picked up some “mevotech” ones today that have lifetime warranty from the local parts store.

Yeah my big weiner eh.

Why would I aim them straight? I like to look in the ditches and blind people more better eh.

And a mean headwind rearranged them on the way to that flockchop @max02s place. Apparently the tube they are on can unthread as well. Learned that after we quit drink pops the next day eh.

Made a few miles over the last 2 weekends. Truck seems to drive better with new tie rods, actually spent the time centering the steering.

Buzzed home to moms place on the weekend to do some yard work.

Loaded up dads quad and went for a nice tour this morning with the wife.
