Frame paint and DP90
Been pretty broke and busy lately. You'd think being busy you'd be rolling in some dough. Guess not.
Had a buddy come over to help seal the tub with dp90 and also paint the frame with Eastwoods ceramic 2k chassis paint. It came out pretty good and it sure is nice to get rid of that awful purple interior.
Frame is being primer'd, but is now satin black.
Hoping to get the fuel cell, axles and springs in next.

My wife surprised me with this thoughtful gift on our anniversary. Thought it was pretty neat! Really an awesome addition to the garage!
Also spent the day making the calipers look good! I think the decal adds 5hp!
In the process of bolting the tranny up. Having troubles with getting the crossmember to fight right under the NV4500. I did use the new motor mounts Kert at DIY4X and the Bigblock cleared the crossmember fine. The headers don't look any closer. So I'm probably in the market for new ones now.

ENGINE AND TRANNY ALMOST Find a home.
Going to take a look at an 80's crossmember tonight for the NV4500. I had to move the frame 180 degrees around in the drive way. That wasn't fun. But it sure is nice to see progress.

Headers that Fit! Crossmember that Clears!
I found a set of headers on Craigslist. They look like they fit pretty darn good.

Super Comp Headers1983-87 1/2, 3/4, & 1-Ton; 1983-91 Blazer, Carryall, Jimmy Yukon, Suburban, 1-Ton Crew Cab, Tahoe 2-dr 4WD Trucks BBC 396-502
1-7/8" x 31" Primary Tubes
3" Collectors
High Temp Black Paint
Here is the old Setup with the DIY4x Crossmember. Pan was resting on the cross tube, and had no room to squeeze in headers. Wish I took a better pic at the time. I'm sure it will help get an idea on how much clearance you'll have with Kert's help.
I then followed in AJ's steps and asked Kert for the Motor mounts to be lengthened. Fits great now. Will have to get to the firewall next as I'm sure so more massaging is necessary.
I'm not sure about the Headers for a Mark IV block fitting onto a GEN VI. Heard it might be something about a header bolt clearing? I ordered some gaskets and bolts so we'll see. Also ordered my starter. Just want to make sure everything is good to go before I send the headers out to be Ceramic Coated.
I painted the 14 bolt last night and put the dana 60 back together over the weekend. Moving the Dana 60 with it fully loaded is a challenge once again! Washington's weather was a dump all week, but managed to still get things done.

It looks close on the pics. First hand it doesn't look all that bad. This is my first rodeo though. It looks like things may clear, I'm hoping everything works out. 
Brian, I also found a W style crossmember that will work for the NV4500. I put a some oval holes into it so I can use my Poly bushings. That and some 1 inch structural tubing and I'm good to mount it up. I was hoping that the headers would clear well enough to move the engine forward. I'm not so sure. I am going to play around with things next time we have a clear day and can move the chassis outside.
