'71 K5 Blazer CST "Mean Green"

So one of my rear spring packs has some broken leafs. I read that the later years leafs springs would bolt right in and ride better too. Should I replace them with a 52" spring or 56"? One person told me a 56" will move my axle back, which is needed, and ride better. I figured I could achieve the same with zero rates and the 52's, but would like the blazer to sit as level as possible when done. Also should add, that I will be using 4" blocks on the rear for now because they were free. I got a pair of 4" lift springs for the front for $80. Really didn't want to lift it until I saw how well @HINZ28 's truck sat. I do like a big tire tucked into a wheel well, but won't be able to have fun with it without the lift.

Probably be a good time to swap in 56" springs if avliable. Blocks or shackle flip both move the axle forwards. So hopefully the offset of 56" springs would correct that?

The 56" springs are the same as a 52" spring on the front side. They are just longer from the axle to the rear shackle.

You will have to move your shackle hanger to run 56" springs. You will be just fine with 52" springs.

I did sell it. I didn't think it would sell, as I set a high reserve. It went well past it, so it makes sense to me. I need the money for some extra upgrades I want to do to my nova. I got a t56 for it and am going to upgrade the whole back half of the car with a min tub and a 4 linked 8.8 ford dif. The trans tunnel will need to be cut out and made to accommodate the 6 speed too. I've sinned again, but for good reason.

I'll only forgive you if you post the nova upgrades in the "other rides" section
:shame:

Sure it's going to hold up behind clutch dumps?
