If I read Billavista's article on the Atlas correctly there is something you can ask for at the time of ordering that allows for the flat clocking of the T-case.....Let me see if I can find where he mentions that. I have a friend locally that had to redrill his adapter for the flat clock because he did not order for the flat clocking position..... I could not agree more about those green studs!!!!!
From Billavista regarding AA's clocking scheme: (my whole issue might be 4sp related)
The front of the Atlas-4SP's reduction box is equipped with four different spacings of the 6-bolt round pattern. This alone would offer you four different clocking angles, however many Advance Adapters' adapters will also have more than one bolt pattern, meaning that eight clocking options are often available.
Typical clocking options might be:
Left drop case: 7, 14, 17, 21, 24, 28, 31, or 38 degrees.
Right drop case: 4, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28, or 35 degrees.
Looks like I might be set at seven degrees if a driver side drop is a left drop case.
Billavista ended up using a spacer that was also multi position drilled in order to go flat..... If memory serves, you can ask for AA to put the tcase together for you with a different option so flat clocking is available from the manufacturer.
