'72 Bluggy: Rocks/ 47s/ LoMax

Well managed to mount the winch last week. Used 1/2" steel. It's tied to the frame with one 5/8" grade 8 bolt and two 9/16" grade 8 bolts on each side. Then there's six 7/16" grade 8 bolts bolting it to the front spring x-member. My battery ran out tho, before I could snap pics of the winch actually mounted. All in all, I had to drill 14 holes. :shaking: But the holes in the plate were drilled by a local machine shop...having to drill 1/2" steel with a hand drill :barf: Also got it over to my buddy's shop CBC Offroad so we can start the 'cage hopefully some time this week. I'll get some more pics tomorrow.

2 years later & finally got my tranny. Pretty much built to the hilt, we'll see how much of that is true once I run it. Full Reverse manual valve body, performance clutches, sprags, etc. The only thing I might change out is the TC to get a lower stall speed. Also got the last adaptor I need to connect it to the 203. DOM for the 'cage is in. I got my propane tank clamps and some snatch blocks. Hopefully we get my propane tanks this Friday and I order up my VFF 30 fuel lockoff this week as well. :D

I still think you hacked a perfectly good blazer up. I think a Toyota should be looking like that. Its cool but I hate to see another first gen lost to the torch.

Not to say it isn't cool but It looked pretty good before. I have been watching you build and some seriose blood and sweet has gone into it. I hope you have time for another one. I have barely anytime other then working on mine. Thing consumes my weekends like a fat kid on a hamburger.
