'72 Bluggy: Rocks/ 47s/ LoMax

lol...nothing new. I was on a 4 week break & didn't do jack. Been spending time with family & friends. Oh well, hopefully I can get on it soon tho, my buddy's shop has been real busy, so haven't done much.
We need more pics, im getting tired of looking at your cheesburger :haha:

Man, I need to start coming into this forum more often. This build thread is just AWESOME! I cant believe I missed it all this time. Great job man. You built the exact same transfer case build I want to put together. How did everything go together? I mean any issues with any of the components and fitment? Would you do it the same if you had to do it over again. The only other thing I have considered possibly changing would be to go with the NWF Black Box.

Let's try again; updates?
:doah: None what so ever :doah: Actually, the only I've done since last August is order parts, let it collect dust, pull the motor to change the oil pan...that's about it. But tomorrow's my last day of school...we have a new bender...3 weeks before i start up again...so I'm really gonna try to bust myself to get it done....probably spend this week getting the design done, then start on it next week.

thanks. Everything went together really nice. The only thing I had trouble with was the bearing on the adatpor plate. I froze the bearing for about 9 hours, & put the plate in an oven for about 2 hours, perfect fit after that. The bearing felt a little tight tho once in...so I'm hoping that doesn't toast it. The only issue I've had with NWF stuff was their mechanical shifters, I hated the way they were setup, just because of the crazy clocking positions I had set the doubler up with....fixed that with some cable shifters tho. If I could go back, I'd probably change it for simplicity...I'd get a 465/Atlas 4. :D

Uh oh...:D Front floors finished at least...firewall trimmed to almost full capacity...cage design finalized...almost

Glad to see this one going again! Be real good to see it completed and in action, especially at BB '08.

all this bling and 2 years and you chose not to run disk brakes in the rear..upon closer inspection I see your running a remote transmission apparently too....were did you hide it? The spinning flywheel could keep a simple minded person busy for hours though in the passenger seat..good touch:waytogo:

well the rocksliders are done & this is what the main hoops are tying into so progress should be quick now, especially since we decided how we want the rest of the 'cage. :D

it's looking good. I think we're in a close race for taking the longest to build a truck:haha:. Actually I'm pretty sure your ahead of me now. mines turned into a planter and will probably stay that way for a while:doah:

You've done some great work though...looks awesome

Not to be picky, but I think your cab is on backwards. :wink1:

:haha:I don't think it's backwards. He must be going for some crazy sandrail or mud drag type setup with it sitting that far back.

Good to see you working on your own rig now David ;)

I like the cowl mods.... :wink1:

Did I inspire you in some way....
