So I’m new here, what is the actual status of this Blazer that Greg “has”? I remember seeing pictures of it for the move, didn’t look that far off.

379 pages of reading is daunting to say the least for one to review. Anyone have a table of contents for this mess? :rotfl:

Started building worlds most badass Blazer 10 years ago.
Worked for years on it.
Had Charlie aka Danger, didn’t work on it for a year.
Big load of rocks was moved to back yard
Started working on house more, only worked on Blazer on Sundays and crazy hours till midnight on weekdays.
Tore apart kitchen and built cabinet doors.
Came in 2nd place on MPS for third time,
Made homemade 17 stock wheels to fit crazy mog axles.
New flooring in living room and wainscoting in dining room.
Made crazy gas tank
Built deck and installed siding
Installed the beginning of exhaust
Tore apart half the concrete in the garage, new driveway
Bought a turnkey house and moved to Texas for new job.
Started tearing apart garage drywall, installed shiplap on walls and attic ceiling, ac units, too
Misses BB 2018, plans on 2028 now.
Tore apart kitchen and bought a new hammer drill today.

Pretty much brings you up to date. :)

Thanks NorCal! I’m gonna try to read this 10year process when I can.

So I’m up to page five, one post he references calculating and setting reminders in Microsoft outlook for turning over the motor so it doesn’t stick rings. I need to know, is it still happening? @Greg72

He’d need to find his Blazer first in order to do that. :yikes:

WOW! That’s a pretty complete and accurate list... I’m impressed (and exhausted) just reading it again... :haha:

Page 5? You’re going to need a lot more beer and a few uninterrupted days to get fully up to speed (see my .sig quote) :haha: Spoiler Alert: the engine still hasn’t been fired since it was built but it already has a new set of replacement aluminum heads and a new cam to install...so it will be thoroughly checked over when it gets partially torn-down for those updates.

I can’t lie, the move to TX was a huge setback on the MAW build not only because of the new cluttered shop space. The new job has been gobbling up my evenings most weekdays where I’d normally be making truck progress. Recently it feels like I’ve turned the corner and I may not have to work 12 - 14 hours a day. So I’ve got that going for me... :)

I stopped at page 22 last night. :haha: I might just have to start at every 10th page or so. I dunno. Hurry up and get to work already!

I did like the tubing bender setup!:saweet:

Someone needs to do that for his own thread

Heck, I’d actually need to go through my thread and figure out what’s in it. Lol It’s weird, but the only reason I remember his, is I helped him in one way or another on all of those house projects except for the rock moving one. I wanted to speed up his honey do’s so he’d get back to the MAW build. Presently, he’s killing me a little bit inside every time he texts me a pic of siding in his attic. It’s painfully slow and currently out 3”s in 10’. :eek1: :doah::haha:

It’s CURRENTLY out 0.1* in 10’.

Good enough to move along, I’d say.

And my new hammer drill will allow me to pull up all of my tile in only about 25 hours! :waytogo:

2018.09.19 - UPDATE - MY INTERNET FRIENDS...

You guys are great! :waytogo:

Dean @max 02 and I'm not even sure how many others on CK5 have been working behind the scenes to deliver a bit of "Build Motivation" from the Great White North down to Austin TX!!
I don't even know how many steps this took, but somehow this 1st Gen tow hook crossed over our unsecured northern border and then made it's way to another co-conspirator who helped with the USPS packaging and shipping.

From Dean's garage wall for the last 20 years, to the "MAW" build for installation... I can't even describe how cool it is to have received this from my "Internet Friends".... my wife and son were completely mystified why parts suddenly arrived from people whom I've only ever met on the computer. :haha:

You guys are the best. A sincere "thank you" to everyone who was involved to get this here... I don't know exactly how many people helped, but this was an extremely cool gesture that I will always remember.

You are very welcome! Happy late Birthday present for you and the MAW project.
I was thinking I would try to give it to someone from Canada going to Blazerbash and maybe hand it off to someone else and eventually get it to you. But it ended up no Albertans went this year...Mr ASDT MNGR @76zimmer happened to fly out to our place for my 50th birthday! He took it with him on the plane back home and sent it from Michigan last thursday.

Big thank you to Dave for helping me get it to you! :saweet:

Just wish I had the other one to go with it to make the pair.
