I got all excited when this thread popped up, knowing full well that you haven't had a second to spend in the garage. :doah:

Just seen these pics this morning. Cute kid with an awesome costume, as I'm guessing he is dressed up as a Minnesota Viking.

The best team in football.

:doah:X2 You got me as well

2011.12.25 - UPDATE! - MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!

This was just about the best gift I could have hoped for...

My lovely bride gave me 5 coupons for "Garage Days". I am already dreaming about how to maximize each one of them.

Got a nice Snap-On snapring pliers set too. That should come in handy during final assembly of the Mog portals.

No idea... But certainly not today.

Too valueable to waste, I need to have everything planned out just right so that I get 8 perfect hours of progress per coupon! No parts runs, no food breaks, just forward progress. :D

Thats awesome!:D Merry xmas man, enjoy the first one with ur new one. Get the baby anything fun??

Well played man! Knowing you you'll actually kick some a$$ on the project in those days. I seem to never make much progress even when I plan it all out

Oh well... Mele kalikimaka man!

so did you hint at this or is your bride that in tune with you?

I dropped hints about this one. She knows I've been desperate for some "mental health" days in the shop. I've been logging hundreds of hours on home improvement projects and now that Danger is almost a year old I'm looking forward to being able to slowly transition myself back into a schedule that allows for some shop time.

As you guys know, my total garage time this year was only two days (fathers day and my birthday), so getting 5 days is a huge improvement.

Nice Greg, let us know ahead of time to tune in!
And of course it didn't happen without documentation..

Very cool gift! I should have asked my wife for that gift, might actually motivate me to get down there and get going.

New guy here.... I just read the whole thread... Damn this build is sick. Your one hell of a fabricator.

We....As a CK5 Community, need to all agree NOT to EVER, EVER comment on this thread unless it is in direct reply to an update posted by Greg.

I am sure that I am not the only one that gets uber excited every time that I see this thread pop back up. And then get very let down when I see that it was not infact, An Update. :D

On that note....Do we have a garage session in the near future Greg?

2012.05.14 - UPDATE! - HAPPY MOTHERS DAY...

My wife banished me to the garage yesterday.... :D. Apparently, it was time to finally start cashing in my Garage Coupons.

It took me quite a while to get my head in the game, since it had been so long and I couldn't remember some of the specific details of where I left off. So for starters I mounted the rear Mog-9 to my engine run stand so it would be easier to move around later.

The obvious next step. Was to build the passenger side axle brace...

And I had to remove the old mockup upper link mount to make room...

After a lot of fitting and small adjustments, I was able to get the plates just right. Following that crazy profile over the bump formed center pumpkin was a real mind bender!

I had just about enough time left to get the basic plates made for the new-style upper link mount. Here's a shot from the front side

And one more from the side to show both link mounts and symmetry, etc.

Talk about a great "therapy day".... It felt good to get back in the shop. My wife said I seemed to be in really good mood too after spending some time in the manspace. I have to agree. :thumb:
