The Shop Truck

I was feeling well rested this morning so we got up at 4, left by 4:45 and I just stopped driving at our campsite for the night just outside of Topeka KS.
Tomorrow we're hoping to get to a decent camp site in northern AZ so we'll just have a short drive on Wednesday.
I only got 2oz of oil out of the puke tank after 500+ miles those morning, but that was relatively flat. I still need to dump what collected since then, but Missouri and Kansas have a lot more elevation change than Michigan, Indiana and Illinois, so I'm expecting more.
 
We made it to our camp spot on the Mogollon Rim near first lakes az. We're pretty sure whatever is causing the blowing got significantly worse climbing the hills coming into Albuquerque. We pulled 20oz out after we filled up, that's apparently the max it can contain without blowing it all over the back of the truck (which it did). Even though the drive from there wasn't nearly as bad, it blew more oil out so I'm guessing the tank is full again. On top of the oil that's coming out of the tank, it's burning 1-2 qts per tank. I'm pretty sure I've got some bad rings and who knows what else. At least it should finish this trip.
 
Two days of driving 15 hours straight sucks if anyone was wondering. I've driven 5000 miles in the last 2 weeks.
 
I had 15 hours for my mind to wander and think about this week's events, which prompted me to look at my catalog again. I think the trans is fine, although the torque converter may be unhappy.
What I didn't notice on the logs is that the trans starts shifting into 2nd, but the rpm keeps climbing and hits the shift point for 3rd, then out meets conditions to shift to second, then rpm climbs and it shifts to third. I need to fire my tuner (it's me in case anyone missed the joke).
 
Here is the datalog graph. The green line is RPM, the yellow line is input shaft speed, the squared off blue line is what gear the ECU is telling the trans to be in and the other blue line is driveshaft speed.
