'72 K5 - Where do I go from here?

I understand the old school....I also like the new school! But those receipts..... haha you are the king of receipt piles!!!!!

Woot Woot! Just got my official letter for the new job. Typed up resignation, will submit in the morning ("We like to do these things on Fridays" for Office Space fans), swing by HR to confirm there are no "extra" taxes or any other governmint thievery taken in this situation, and start ordering like a Mutha$er.

Congrats dude! On to the next chapter! now order that long parts list!

Figure any Blazer guy will appreciate the fuel transfusion pic. NAPA called and told me paint was in, wife picked it up for me.

Anyone know what this (cut) bracket was intended to do? The one between the Silver Bullet can and the emergency brake cable bracket.

If you don't have an answer by Saturday ill let u know! Btw I found the leaf safety bracket on my front LH. Never noticed it as anything of substance before. Very cool

dunno. I have the same bracket (uncut) and as far as I can tell it's never been attached to anything. Maybe an old exhaust hanger?

Cool - off it goes! Lots of angle grinder time this weekend. I want to paint the frame before I take apart the suspension to keep it easy to move as long as I can.

If you want to go 100% resto, I'm sure I have that bracket in my bins of "frame take offs"

Appreciate it Greg, I am not going resto so I don't need it. I looked at the Ryoken Green (hilarious seeing your review on there BTW) and waited too long. Even if I ordered it right now I would end up waiting until after I hope to primer/paint the frame. Can anyone suggest a good alternative I can get at NAPA or Home Depot or whatever.

How about any of these? There is a TSC in Ramona - http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/search/paint primer

You piqued my interest, so I typed "Ryoken Green" into a search engine and found this:

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ryoken

ryoken
An idiot on DiscoveryGC.com who linked a definition he wrote himself on his forum signature.
He's a badly spoken, vulgar, uncouth and coarse moronic troll who couldn't spell to save his life and who's grasp of english is....slippery.
He's also a poncey git who's mither wuld shag ye fer a fish supper, sae she wuld.
First Dude:Dude, did you see what ryoken posted in that one thread?
Other Dude: No, but I can guess that it was the thing responsible for making your eyes bleed, and destroying your belief in humanity.
First Dude: Totally. I actually felt the presence of God leaving me as I read it.

I know it's inapplicable, but I found it hilarious anyway. Perhaps we should add our own CK5 definition. Something more appropriate.

The only other hit was a link to this CK5 thread, with these pictures:

Which aren't even the right stuff. :doah:

I have concluded that, despite being an online truck club, our online presence is terrible. :doah: :doah:

Hilarious! That little air cutter I bought for $6 at HF rocks! Got a 3" & 4", on sale - awesome.
