Fun!:D You should have crawled those big rocks that were on your right in the beginning of the video. That would have been awesome.

Man I like it!

That area reminds me of a park we have around here, but we can only hike or bike it. Looks like a bit of fun!

Love the pics, looks like you are having a lot of fun with that thing:waytogo:

Drooooooooool on the shop!

I doubt it would look as nice as it does now after a trip over the Rubicon. It would be epic though. If you do it, take lots of videos.

yeah i would try and keep it off the rocks going on the rubi, but im sure it would get some love taps.

I stuck the 56's in the rear today. Went nice and quick. The best thing was i didnt have to drop my tank to move the rear shackle hanger!!!

once i had the hangar were i wanted it i took a piece of floss and made a slip knot. shoved it through the hole and then pulled it between the frame and gas tank. looped it on the last threads of the bolt and pulled it up and the damn bolts went right in the holes! i was proud of such and awesome idea. The lock washers kept the tension on the bolt so i didnt need to hold the bolt end to tighten.

Got my shackle angle in a good area and ended up gaining a half inch or so, i like the way it came out. i will have to see how it performs.

Great idea. What did the 56s come off of? Can you post some pics of the springs, hangers, shackle angle, etc.? What exactly did you have to do? Let us know how the truck performs now vs. the stock springs. Too bad you couldn't take it up a ramp or something to compare the before and after.

The 56's were out of a suburban. I took 2 leaves out of them and left the overload. They seem to flex very well. I tested em out down the street on the wall and they feel good. They flex as far as my 52's did, since my short shocks are the issue on droop.

Feels better going down the road though. Bumps are not as sharp has more of a float feeling to it.

Your shackles look like they're pointed back at too much of an angle with the home made shackle flip. You could always go with an ORD shackle flip and mount the brackets on the opposite sides than you would for the stock 52s. That would improve your shackle angle and maybe give even more flex (in the right direction).

If you take it on the 'Con, post lots of pics so we can all see the action.

That angle looks just fine, it actually almost guarantees he will never flip the shackle forward and still has plenty of angle left for flex.
If you notice the springs are pretty much flat so the spring will not come any closer to the frame.

Yeah the shackle barely moves back at all under compression since the spring is basically flat and at its longest point.

Andy I will have to take a pic at full rear stuff so you get a visual.

I put it there to keep my lift height down and get good droop out of the rear.

ok i took some pics. as close to full extension/stuff as i can get since i run out of incline.

Rear at basically full stuff.
