73 K20....crossmember time

So your choice cause its your truck but I have had more issues setting up motives than all the other brands I have done. When I say trouble it probably won't be a big deal to you. It's mostly the shim pack in the same axle is way different. Like I said no biggie for you.

If you could I might try to get usa standard. But I certainly understand the gotta go with the least expensive item there is

Good to know. I saw USA had them for $255. I'm sure I could find a little better price then that but it's do able.

but tire size went 31" to 38" :)
you running those 40s was too much for 4.10, its going to feel awesome. You had way to much gas pedal actual on Rubicon, more crawling will insue

Very true. I felt like I was bucking too much because of the throttle I had to give it.
 
Get a hand throttle and everyone will think you have an auto.

I forgot you were 465. Definitely 5.38s. One guy I wheeled with alot wished he had gone 5.38 when he was 5.13. He just needed it a smidge lower and his clutch would have been happier.

He was on 40s

5.38s then. I dont know much about the hand throttles...ill have to look them up. Ill tell you one thing, im damn sure looking forward to engine braking.
 
So in my life I have wheeled autos and manuals.

I can truly say I have never missed engine braking
 
Hmm. We have some steep stuff going on here. Aftern seeing a few manual set ups im just amazed at the control down hill. Im sure there both great if tailored right. Autos freak me out. I have bad luck with them.
 
Nice! I think itll be a good jump for me.

I read the whole internet last night about 5.38s. Lots of problems in the beginning with those gears but it seems like all of those things have been worked out.

It look like both dana 60 and 14 bolts are getting the 5.38 ratio from 8/43. I havent seen any failures as of yet...
