I have the technical drawings for one that utilizes a HF ram...My dad sent me a pic of a new tube bender HF came out with....
they're making a real bender? Not a kinker?
Protools or JD2. Dies are easy to get.
protool 105HD was the model I was eyeballing.

As much as id like to buy a bender the prices are insane for what you get. A couple of guys at work have built there own for $300.
like anything else, it just depends how much your time is worth

So roughly $650 for the bender and 1 die. Then you have to come up with a stand and its still manual. I wonder how hard it is to bend .120 wall dom manually?
I'm not bending anything manually, I'll buy the swag kit with a HF hydro ram. Then I'll use one of my extra engine stands to mount it all. It's basically the same setup Chris uses.
Its not that bad. The swag kit is the bees knees though.
My buddy and I use his manuel bender all the time. Really not bad at all.

Damn. It adds up though. I dont think i could swing basically $1000 for a bender. Not unless i loaned it out to recoup. I have enough mild sitting around i should just make one.

yeah i think with a cheater bar its probably ok. The only disadvantage is its probably harder to know where your at degree wise but if you have more than one person...which never happens with me lol.
Yeah, there's no way I would spent that kind of money right now. That's why I talked my buddy into it

lol yeah i know! Im trying to con my dad into making the base!
Oil base for the paint. I'll try to get a picture of my hoops. Steering shaft is a non-issue. Custom made. Hoop mounts to the outside near the booster and inside near the box, strattling the shaft o_O
