73 K20....crossmember time

I love this machine. I haven't found anything it won't do. I'm 2 for 2 getting broken bolts out. One was a head bolt in the block and the other was a stud in the back of a brand new steering pump.

Hell that alone was worth buying it lol.

Back to the temp/speed settings. Mine has "autoset" and it is actually pretty close to where it should be. The only place I really need to switch it to manual controls is for overhead stuff.

So I need to score more 2 inch tube before this weekend.

I also think I'll make a pulley installer because I'm tired of renting one. It's free to make I guess you could say.

The brakelines need to be done as well. So my approach will be to start at the axle end and work back to the master, throw a few extra loops in the slack and finish it off. I have the tube benders already so it's just a matter of doing it. I do need to go borrow the flare tool...

I've been watching some install videos on the cage. Seems like theres some holes to drill and measurements to mark so I'll try to do that throughout the week as busy work when it gets late.

I've been slacking on getting the headers completely sand blasted due to shitty equipment. It would be great to tackle those at least by the end of the weekend so I can start the painting process with this lovely hot weather.

I've found this thing to always push way more wire then what I need. Maybe I'm just slow and inexperienced but it makes me rush too much.

Brutal. I'm thinking I should just start power napping when I get home then stay up later working. It's a 3 day weekend coming up at least.

To top it off I'm doing the brakes/cv on the shitbox honda. Those ghey screws that keep the rotor on are hell. I got one out and the other is solid frozen.
