73 K20....crossmember time

This still has to read rpm input. Is that wire disconnected or damaged?

So I've got a code for distributor noise. Cleared it and nothing. Dist looks fine and I checked the connectors and they seem ok. Resistance checks out. I'm lost at this poin . Tried playing with grounding too. Nothing.

Did you revisit the programming just to see if it reverted to a different setting?

Yeah and I went through the manual to make sure it was all correct. Something tells me the distributor isnt acting right. Odd that it could even be possible being that it's got an hour run time on it.

Just got off the phone with fitech. Got a few things to try. If I take the blue wire plug out of the distributor and strike a 12v source on it I should see an rpm reading which will narrow down the problem. Another thing I need to do is ground the unit to the negative side of the battery. Right now I have it running through the block which may be too much resistance. They also recommended shielding the blue wire. I'll have to find some shield for that.

In the down time yesterday I started the crossmember mounts. I'll probably taper both sides and I bought gussets to weld in as well.

Got a project done today that will enable me to get shit done on the truck. Finally put 220v in the garage. I had to completely re do the laundry room electrical which is where i could snag 220 from so its been an ongoing project. Sure is nice to plug right in now instead of 2 mile extension cords.

First weld in 2 years. Ill take it.

Took the exhaust of . Wasnt super happy with it in the first place but it only needs minor mods to be good. It needs to ket kicked up a few inches to make the tcase crossmember easier to make and itll also keep it from hanging so low like it used to. Ill also wrap the other side.

Finally got around to doing something on this turd. I guess school, home projects and a baby burned up some time. Anyways. The tcase crossmember is nearly done. Im going to add another bar to the back but i need to make sure i clear the shifter cable and the future driveshaft. Also put some air in the tires and ran it for about an hour. Rings arent even seated yet lol. I decided im going to shit can the front clip all together...round headlight setup coming. Also a new radiator and fan set up. Current is ghetto and barnicle filled.
