well guys after considering the pros and the cons for both. There are more pros to go with the 78. The only pro for the 75 is the convertible top, and thats not enough. The 78 is more together and would take less to get going than swapping everything to the 75. I checked the 78 over real good, and again i got lucky and picked up a blazer with no frame cracks and a small amount of rust in the front fender.
Anyway i think if i were to take the 75 offroad it would kill me to damage the body. I just cant do that. I am looking to do alot of trails and i dont want to worry about body damage. I can damage the 78 and not be that bothered by it. Of course my plan is to not get any body damage, but i am sure it will occur.

Having a couple of clean blazers is really a pain in my a**. I listed the 75 for sale with no bites so i think i will hang on to it for awhile. Like you said if i really want a convertible just cut the top off the 78. I do have a sawzall and i do know how to use it.
