you can see where the tires rubbed and bent the channel down

Pass side

Cut

Ended up cutting about a 12.5" strip out and hopefully this solves that problem

Snow!

Well it rained the past 2 days in town and finally snowed in the mountains!
we went up wit a group to do an xmas tree run. The Jimmy did great! I also just got 2 new tires for the front so all the tires are newish. :woot:
This was my first time wheelin in the snow as well.
Staged in the morning before we hit the trail

I was really surprised with how much snow we had

Enjoying a cold one on a stop

Shot out the front

And a Group pic, sort of hard to see

should have some video in a few days.
all in all had a blast and I can't wait to go back for more!

Hey, is this BigBear? Or Arrowhead or something?

Gotta get together for a run. Never done snow wheeling either.

That would be awesome to get together, I'm trying to make it to KOH with the blazer this year. Its the High lakes, up north if you look up butte meadows that will get you close.

New year!

I haven't been wheeling or even drove the jimmy this year but I Have been collecting some parts to set up rock lights. Hopefully this weekend i will have some time to get them on. anyone have any tips or advice? I also got a tach for xmas and got that installed so now I can have an idea of what rpms I've been driving in.

60 leds and 3 switches and a new fuse box to wire them from. I plan on doing a front sides and rear switch for the lights. I also picked up a grille and headlight buckets and will put it on this weekend too.

That pic looks like it's across the street from the Bambi Inn. :dunno: Did you take the new road up from Paradise to BM's?

Rig is looking pretty sweet. Nice to see another snow wheeler around. :waytogo:

Its up at the outpost, posed in front of the webcam. ha. I usually come up 32 because it is faster now that the road is paved. that road from inskip to BM is really nice now. If you need a hand with your blazer it would be sweet to come check it out and can always help out.

Thanks, Its been a huge project for me

Well you did good...nice proportions...and not hacked up looking!
The finishing touches on the fender edges looks great!
There is a few trucks with 40s plus that look good that is one of them! :waytogo:

Wiring Headache

Well this was my first time wiring so it took a little longer than I had expected but am happy with how it turned out. Thank goodness I had a fellow new ck5er to help. :pimp:
front

Pass side, We wired them up on 3 different switches

The back looking towards the front

Got the grill and headlight buckets painted as well

Amanda Posing with it

Cut out a switch panel to mount them, not sure what this spot was originally used for but it works now. The extra 2 slots will be for a lightbar when/if I get one and the york compressor switch

Now Onto the lights

60 LEDs

I got 50 white lights and accidentally 10 amber lights

they make the headlights look dim

We are going to KOH
