haha... no I should focus more on that, but I'm almost ready to swap the new front shafts in

has anyone made replacement/custom inner fender wells? I'm working on some but not too happy with how they are turning out

I can't imagine that would be an easy task without some sheetmetal experience and proper tooling.

I'm trying to make mine out of a hard plastic that attaches to the frame then to the fender but its a pita to put it in then pull out to cut and repeating thr process over and over

Exactly. Its very hard to do without a big shear and break.

I saw some pics somewhere of a stainless steel setup. Thats really the way to go since you can make them one piece, with some welding and bending. Ill see if I can fins the pics. Id like to do something similar next year.

Somewhat of an update I change the difference fluids after getting the lockers and gears done about 2 years ago and the oil looked just fine but it's all fresh now. The front axle is almost all reassembled but the pass sidea lockout is pressed against the axle when tightened down. So I need to pull it off and grind the axle end down a little

Is that a common issue with the shaft? Never heard of that issue.

Did you upgrade to the Yukon hubs?

From searching on pirate4x4 I've found a few other people having this issue but am trying to find out a little more. I'm still running the warn premiums for now. I picked some 35 spline ones from supersize75k5

I'm running 52" springs front and rear. Your blazer is sick too!

Oh gosh, that's so nice of you.

As for your axle, my buddy had the same issue with his axle shaft. He took some emery cloth to the splines, and the axles slid in another 1.5" and fixed his issue.

The inner axle half is already slid all the way in up against the axle housing just about. I'll look into it though.

You can use the race from a D60 carrier bearing on the inner wheel bearing to move the hub assembly outward approx 1/8".

Edit: 1/8", not 1/4".

Thanls for that info. Sweet. I'd rather do that than grinding on new parts. I just need to find some time between school and work

well I went and looked up the price for 2 of the bearing races and decided it would be easier to grind a little off the end of the axle shaft and now it is all good to go.

Had to open up the knuckles a little bit to get the new shafts to fit in as well.

35 spline stub on the left and stock on the right

now stock inner on left and alloy usa on the right
