Looks like a beautiful truck!

What are your plans for the interior? Got any more pictures of the truck?

going to stay mostly stock...I want to keep it looking stock/retro...but maybe restified too. I still got my buckets from the K5..they may make it in there. For now I plan on switching the rear lower bench portion with the front lower bench, as the front has some severe wear going on with it. IF I do go with the K5 buckets, I will have to build some kind of bitchin console for it.

Whats with the tiny pics. I found myself sitting 2 inches from my monitor... lol

a few pics today:

this is probably the worst spot on the truck: the rocker panel where metal is overlapped and not sealed to prevent the elements from getting between the pieces.

typical frame condition, it is a little more rust in the back, but still very solid and a cleanup with a sandblaster will make it like new again..

I'll be putting new front brakes on it, and some 16" wheels/tires for the front.

front door panel is missing the metal trim around the panel....

dealer addon cruise control? anyone know? did they have cruise available in 76 trucks?

Cruise was available, My 76 K20 Crewcab had Cruise but it was on the column that is definitely aftermarket,or dealer add on

The trim isn't available for the rear doors your gonna have to score that in a junkyard

actually it is missing on the drivers door. the other 3 have the trim still intact.

Oh cool, well that one might be available let me go through my bookmarks list of GM stuff to find the website lol

thanks gus, I've looked in LMC and a couple other 73-87 supplliers but no luck for me so far.

There was one place, kinda an obscure one that had those for fronts but not the rears ( I needed a rear)

If nothing else I'll keep my eyes peeled in the boneyards stuff like that I usually keep

My 75 and 76 both have factory cruise control, but it was also on the column like yellowK20.

Your truck looks beautiful, I don't know where you guys find such nice trucks!

I think you can only find that door trim in a junkyard now. The one I was just at today had a door panel with it, but it was the passenger side. I'm going to try to get to some other junk yards this week. I'll be on the lookout for one for you.

I think its Cheyanne truck parts that used to have it, not sure if they do still.

I will keep my eyes out in the junkyard too Dave.

I can't wait to see what you do with this truck.

Yep thats the one Eric, for some reason though there website doesn't work for me

They may not have it anymore, all there stuff is N.O.S. not reproduction so they have sold out

This truck has the transducer on the fenderwell that looks GM, but I haven't dissected it yet to look for GM id's

You'll have to wait a bit Eric...as much as I'd like to jump in right now, I still have a bunch to do to get ready for winter/bonfire/99 repairs/camper winterizing...etc. And a list to complete on the Maiden...then the Fatboy, then the Dually....

Dambit..hopefully one will turn up somewhere.

got a couple of my 16's back from the stripper today, Green zinc'd em, and a new pair of rotor/hubs. gonna shoot em with some #17 Quicksilver metallic...which is what I think I will paint the white part of the truck in the future.
