They just mean that you have to weigh in on their scale before you unload. They aren't going to pay based off someone else's scale ticket. Pretty standard.

Thx Martin
Just. Weigh in weigh out then!

Picked up the 98 Dodge 2500 2wd today.
Got to thank Chris (K20) and especially Stephen (neeraw117) for checking the truck out 800 mi away for me! Stephen was right it sounds good!
The guy that was holding the truck (different from the owner) fixed the front A arms enough to get a rollable tire on it to move
Although it rolls it don't steer good or move well.
I drove it up on the trailer part way then the rear tires spun trying to push it, so the Maiden's winch was put to use for the first time! It's tied down now and ready for the trip home which will be a tough one for the 99 6.0 going across the mountains in NC, VA, WV and OH.
I will be so ready for turbo diesel power next year!

Unable to upload pics from my IPhone???

Hitch...I will beef up the back with cross bracing similar to this Dodge and later model GM HD'S and possibly use this hitch

Why don't you just swing that whole rear diff under instead of trying to hatchet those gears in your diff.

Won't he lose the duals. ?

There is that and the 70 in that Dodge is nowhere near the strength of the 70 in his dually. It has a much lighter center casting, smaller tubes (both diameter and thickness) and it uses those bastard sized 32 spline smaller diameter axles instead of the meaty 35 splines in the GM spec'd unit.

I have one of these Dodge D70's here and was looking into using it in my Suburban and in my research found several "oddities" about that particular 70. I still might have used it (it can be converted to the good 35 spline axles), but I got a good deal on a Detroit for the 14FF and decided to just stay with that.

Now the D80's that came in the Dodges are the real deal. Nothing goofy/wimpy about those. Only the 70's got the lighter parts.

I'm guessing that's the 70U that was used in that generation.

Dave is not gonna hurt that 70 in his 2wd street princess. There's the over thinking again. They came stock in those trucks and did very well. Or until extreme abuse was involved. It is very easy to swap up to 01/02 rear disks as well. Actually just bolt on parts swapping.
