Did you really use the phrase "Quick and easy" in regards to rust repair? :doah:

sure why not thats pretty much a bolt in piece for the most part
I think what he means is that you never really know how much rust you're dealing with until you actually start the work. Many times guys will buy a panel to replace the visibly rusty part on their truck, only to find even more rust behind it that they hadn't counted on. Happens alot. Hopefully you won't have such an experience.

I know exactly what he means hence the bed floor I was soposed to patch when I cut the rust out i found more rust or more like a non existent bed floor support but the tail pan is pretty much a bolt in piece with new body rubbers.

well I haven't done much lately just dealing with the holiday bull ****. I did get a nice new sandblasting cabinet for my 21 birthday witch I am stoked about.:woot: it works great. Now i can do everything all the hinges motor mounts anything that you can think of ill get pics up tomorrow.

dude I thought you were an older guy during this whole thread, lol.

I think this is one reason why:
...tow this ratty 68 lemans to Springfield mass last weekend in my boys 05 f250
I think it didn't register to me that you were talking about a friend of yours, not your son. lol

HAHAHA thats funny I turned 21 in october. me and my buddy (boy) have a flatbed trailer together and he now has a hidden wheel lift on the back of his 2005 ford f250 we have a small towing business on the side. As much of a chevy guy I am I think its a beautiful truck.

And do you really thing a chevy guy would let his son drive a ford truck ???

haven't got much done since the floor pan. ive been doing allot of school work and o yea ive been sandblasting everything in sight thats got rust on it. I love the new machine it rips. my plan for the winter is to put the new leafs on that I got from the blue parts truck and I want to get the motor and tranie in. ide also like to get the tail pan in witch is gonna happen very soon so I can bolt the rear quarters on for good. 1 step at a time.

Sorry guys ive been sick for the past week witch sux. I haven't today was the first time all week. This weekend I plan on hitting the tail pan hard and getting that completely done. Even though it is below freezing I cant let that stop me I wanna have this thing back together already. once i knock out the tail pan I can bolt the quarters on for good. pics will come soon like I said I have been sick

my girls laptop is broke so I gotta find a new way to load pics for now until she gets a new one but any way.

I got the drivers quarter on for good its bolted in place and rock solid. this means the tail pan is also bolted in place with the new body bushings underneath it. Im trying to play with the junk passengers side aftermarket quarter and it needs to be moved up 1/4 inch and it will be good.
