76 k5 build thread -- gaps suck

i got the rims sandblasted today at work well 2 of them. to my pleasant surprise they were pitted all over so some body work was needed to make them look presentable. i also primed the back and sides with acid metal etching primer. then i got to filling in the millions of pits. im just lucky they aren't roted away like the rest of the truck is lol

i finialy got the picks on my computer of what i did with the dash board so lets here how you think it came out i think it looks 10 times better but of course its not done yet it still needs sealer and color that will come later. theres a few pictures i used chemical stripper in an spray bomb thats what the fomey stuff is then gave it a thinners wash and a quick sand and mixed up the acid etching primer poured it in the gun and let that do the rest.

stick or auto? without the plow that would be pretty cool. its cool to still see trucks being built like they were back when there wern't all these high dollar billet parts and you had to work with what you had or could get your hands on. what size are the hornies?

the truck is auto and thats how its staying its not a work in progress and the hornies are 3 inch and they are the longest ones they make there loud as hell and you can look rite through them

i was thinking about getting a set for my race car. im subscribed to your build thread so i might just wait and see how they are on your blazer since my k10 needs a new exhaust asap

they were on my friends 73 mustang and they were great but he wanted something that makes less noise so i traded him for a set of flow masters

ok back 2 the build now. i finialy got some time to do some welding on the truck today it was fun to say the least i got a s*it load of picks to show what i did so here it comes. the first pic is how it looked before i started. then i whiped out the grinedr and ground everything down so i can spray on the weld through primer. my welder is a small Lincoln 3200hd weld pack with gas and my helmet is a Hobart hood the auto darkening one.
