77 Blazer - The Beast build

Picked this 77 Blazer from NY today (I am in Philly) Factory 400ci smb. CURRENT STATUS 468 BB with 700R4 & cast iron cased NP205 Front is a Dana 60 and Rear is 14 Bolt Seems to be 4.88 geared 20" Weld Racing rims & 39.5 4" Suspension & 2" Body lift
WTF did I get myself into. The wiring harness arrived. How am I gonna get this all together. Seems like I'll never get this done...

UPDATE

Had to take a break from the Blazer after the clutch bearing exploded on my Toyota and the air conditioning compressor pulley seized on my honda. I hate doing random car work in the middle of winter in Pennsylvania. Thank heavens for the recent warm weather. I was able to charge the new air conditioning compressor and get the car back on the road.

I got the ring gear bolted to the new differential. Tightening those bolts was an effort. Thankfully I own a rather large plumbers pipe wrench to help keep the differential from moving while tightening it down to 120 ft lb. Next I need to get the truss rod welded to the axle tube before moving forward with installing the new differential.

Why would someone use RTV on the inside of the axle flange...??

NEW WORK DONE

Got the DIY4X Wraptor Truss welded on.

Preheated to 350+ and did two passes with .03 wire. Wrapped in welding blanket. Was having issues seeing thru my welding helmet but I think this will do fine.

Build Update - LAST of 2022!!

Box 2 of 2 arrived for the Wire Harness. They seem to have done a fantastic job. Asked for a Dual Battery setup and the extra heavy guage wires were a big suprise....gonna be an interesting few weeks when I get to install this giant octopus of wires.

Where did you buy that harness? Or who makes it?

I had it done by Jabin Wood. Easy to find him on Facebook. Send him a DM. He is slow to respond, keep sending msgs. Does good work but pricey. Will do total custom job based on what you want
Right on, I got my power window relay harness from him years ago.

Well.... I am a glutton for punishment. Had the 205 all together and decided to go with a 32 spline front output. Had to remove one half of the unit which involved removing all the RTV (Ugggggh) and new gasket. BUT it sure is pretty. Also got a Yukon 1410 32 spline yolk for rear output. Very nice pieces. Sat the new 1410 yolk next to my old 1350. Big difference...

Just to put it all back together now...again.

You never fail to build it way overkill Chris, nice work!

Don't toss that 30 spline front flange output, many people want to upgrade to that one.
