Is there a retainer keeping the shackle “pins” in?

On the rear hanger of the rear spring, what keeps the johnny joint in the bracket on the frame?

I wondered if that’s what you were talking about. Yeah it’s threaded. The threads stop about 1/4” from the top of that tube. It might get a jam nut before I crank everything down. Haven’t decided if it really needs one or not? Maybe a set screw? :dunno:
Here’s a pic inside the tube.

Ok. Just didn’t want you to pull a Barney and go purple dinosaur on us

Lol it probably looks just like the other pics but now it has been under coated.

Now I get to run fuel lines and sort through 40+ years of this kind of stuff... It’s really not that bad but it definitely needs some attention. Probably going to cut it all out and take it to the boat shop and build a new harness. We have a nice assortment of wire there that is all “marine grade” ooooooohhhh fancy....

Didn’t get the fuel lines all the way done but the return line is in. Realized two things.... 1. The fitech inline pump kit doesn’t come with enough fuel line to do the return line and supply line on a longer vehicle. It would be great for a short bed though. And #2.... the 5/16 fuel line that I have had in my toolbox for the last 4 years was really 3/8. SCORE!!! So now my return line is hardline. Also while I was figuring out the best place to mount my fuel pump I found two holes either from my saddle tank brackets or my exhaust hangers that are in the exact location my pump needs to be.

The copper kind is where it's at.

I use it to lube my leaf and shackle bushings. Works awesome. I am considering using it on u joints just to see what happens.
