77 C20 hauler to crawler

Didn't accomplish anything today. But I did dig the build sheet out from underneath my seat and was surprised at what I found... Looks like in 1977 my truck was purchased from Leo Hoffman Chevrolet (currently Puenta Hills Chevrolet) in La Puenta CA. I cracked up when I looked on Google maps and found Ed Butts ford not too far from there. So I always though owning a California car or truck would be cool because of the lack of rust, but it turns out it's not so great when they spend most of their life in Wyoming.

It's tough to get motivated after working on boats all week. Feeling burnt out lately but no worries... I'm far from giving up. I can't wait to get out to the garage when I'm at work but then when I'm home I just want to be lazy! I need to spend some time cleaning up. My garage is a disaster! I think that's part of my problem.

You don't know the chicken roper bar?
This all would have been funnier

Back in my dragging and drinking days, we bar toured the happening town of Douglas. After the third or fourth bar, I fell out the back of a moving pick up at the chicken roper bar north of town

I like you am also dry these days, no regrets

It flopped about like free wirry... I had to pass up a lot of good opportunities to snag up a shop/land/house when the market was reasonable because the ex KILLED my credit when I gave her das boot. It's hard to run a business in the midst of a custody battle without enough shop space to work in. It's all good now though. Had sole custody since 2011, my wife adopted my son last month, and with all the layoffs around here the market should be coming back down as soon as people start to realize their stuff isn't worth what they think it is! Best part is... I don't have a lot of debt anymore. We will see what happens.

Read through this thread today. I think I saw a truck in there somewhere, but it got lost in the sea of chitchatting. :haha:

Can't believe you're complaining about Wyoming's level of rust. :doah: :doah: Folks here pay really good money to find trucks so perfect. :deal:

This is a good place to be in life. :waytogo:

That's exactly what I said right before I slammed the bucket through the front windshield! I tried to peal the roof open to cram some more junk inside of it but I was worried about folding my trailer in half. I have a problem with sitting on stuff that is almost worth keeping. The scrap yard probably thinks I'm running a chop shop! FYI you can fit a 4 door geo tracker in a 5 1/2 foot truck bed if you chop it into small enough pieces.

Pictures?
