77 C20 hauler to crawler

Guess I'm lucky... Used a shop press and a big socket to push mine out. Was a little sketchy leaning on the other side while someone worked the press though lol.

Springs are on and I decided to redo my rear springs... again. Now I need to to a shackle flip for sure. :doah: That's ok. I wasn't impressed with my blocks and "custom" springs. I'll take pics tomorrow. I was really hoping to have all the stuff I got done today done sooner so I could start putting my interior back together. Maybe next weekend.

@ktmoutfront can you post a pic of your pitman arm? You mentioned it in mr.cleans thread and got me wondering... I either have to rebuild and tap my 2wd box, or switch my sector shaft into my tapped 4wd box (PO of the steering box swore it was 2wd) or depending on what you did I might have another option. I'd rather weld than make an oily mess any day.

Youre supposed to be good dropping the 2wd shaft in.
I finally put it back in the 2wd box and rebuilt that. Leaked and never seemed to work right...

That's what I heard but I'm not sure what mood I'll be in that day. Lol should I fab something or should I rebuild something?

I can not find a picture that shows it. Will have to get one tomorrow.

Not sure why everybody is tapping boxes. I tapped the end cap and the top cap. I swap them out when I had to change the box. And I still have a good core to turn in.

That's what I did on my dodge.

Read somewhere that the cylinder reacts faster if tapped up by the valve head. That's where iv always tapped mine. Cored a bunch of the church specials, no issues

I haven't accomplished anything on the truck. Life has been throwing a bunch of stuff at me lately and the last couple times I've been out here I've been cleaning and organizing because I'm in just the right mood to go ballistic when I have to step over something or move 748 things out of the way.

Yep. Painted the T case yesterday. Got half the bolt holes chased with the tap before life happened and thats all I accomplished.

I didnt understand 10 years ago, but now I understand how some builds take years to do.
