77 C20 hauler to crawler

Got a few things crossed off my list today. Still feels like it’s taking forever but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Last night I bled the slave cylinder, and mounted it. Today I finished putting my bellhousing bolts in and slathered on some undercoating. Then I modified my flowmaster for dual 3” in/out. Curious to see how it sounds. Then I started figuring out where the exhaust is going to go... There is something satisfying about welding exhaust as long as it’s not under the vehicle. Seems like I did something else today but I can’t think of it? I am starting to remember why I used to be so skinny though... I ate a piece of pizza last night when I called it quits and the only thing I’ve had today is a bunch of water, a coke, and a little bag of cheezits. I always forgot to eat back before I was married and really was a bachelor. Lol

I could think of a million places that would be better than living in a used muffler...

Thanks dudes. Getting a late start today but that’s ok... I was going to haul a load of scrap tomorrow but my plans got changed for me. So I’ll be able to spend the day in the garage.

Had to tidy up the garage a little before I went insane. My garage used to be tore up all the time and I would just step over everything but now I can’t hardly stand it. Not saying it’s spotless but it needs to be picked up or I start getting the urge to throw things.

But after that was done I got the exhaust plumbed from the passenger side over to the drivers side and built the pipe for the drivers side. All I had were 45s and I needed one that was 41.79236 degrees. So I just cut and welded until it was the right angle. Then I had to add about 3 inches. Fits good now.

Nice job. I should have done the same for my exhaust. My driveshaft fixed it for me though.
Thanks! Lol I don’t think my driveshaft will hit unless it grenades a u-joint. I wish I could have got the crossover pipe a little farther forward and tucked up between the bellhousing and the transmission but it should be ok.

All tools have to be put away every night and floors swept. I hate the gritty shop floor.
I’m not quite to that point but it’s coming. I’m going to come up with some better tool storage ideas so EVERYTHING has a place rather than some things having multiple places they could go. That should push me over the edge. Lol

So it looks like the most custom exhaust ever. Which is good cause it fits, but I am missing something arent I?

I am not seeing where the stacks are gonna go? Are you doing a rear mount stack? Chrome plate?
I’m thinking about incorporating them into the bed. Maybe some 2” pipe with some flappers???
