77 The Black Truck "Ratbag"

Wierd, I thought they phased out the ff in 3/4 tons in the 80s. Of all I've owned and seen they were s.f's.

Could have been swapped to being these things are 30 years old :haha:

So you stripping the parts rig completely? Or?

Hydraboost is da shiz :waytogo:

I've never seen an 80's 3/4 with a full floater. That doesn't mean GM didn't do it, but I have never seen one.

Yeah it`s getting the full strip out procedure...I`m going to keep the frame around just in case I need a bracket or something,I seem to always get rid of a truck then think Crap I needed that one chunk! :doah:

..I`m going to keep the frame

Dude, that would look so nice in the back yard next to the old wooden wagon...:waytogo: Think about some flower pots where the frame mounts are...cut the top off the gas tank for a little Koi pond...

The possibilities are endless...:D

Keepin' it classy...... :pimp:

:haha::haha::haha:I`ll see if Kris likes your idea!

Got the axles under the truck.

Went and picked up a conversion joint from NAPA yesterday #348 1310/12b to 1350/14b

Thanks for the part numbers Martin and 78SWB! :waytogo:

Haven't bled the system yet...now the axles came from a truck with hydroboost. I will swap in the hydro but I want to do that when I change over the column and peddles to make it a standard.

So...Hydro fluid is different than regular brake fluid right?

Do I need to flush all that old stuff out???

Nope. The hydro boost system is separate from the brake system. It just takes the place of the vacuum booster.
