It's so much fun to dump the clutch and let them burn! I think I should put a rev limiter on it every time I look at the tack it's at 5000rpm before I back off!
I wouldn't worry much Dean, that's a 4 bolt block. The bottom end isn't about to spontaneously explode through the pan.
Yeah the old mans C20 hardly revs, doesn't have a tach. But I can tell you she screams at 3-3500rpm

No I wasn`t worried about it, just thought it was funny how quick it gets up there on the tack.

My old 78 short box didn't have a tack...probably a good thing cause I know it seen some ridicules rpms
But it was a 4bolt main 454 block as well and I never blew it up. 
Just a couple neers on that piece. Lol.

One thing I did get done was change out the 465s shifter with one from my neighbors 2 wheel drive 465...made it quite a lot tighter than it was!
My low gear or 1st doesn't hit the dash now!
Me and Colby took Buck out for a field run tonight...what a blast!
Poor buck don't stand a chance at that game no more!
All most scary how fast we can travel in the fields now. Suspension mods will be next on the list!
