77 The Black Truck "Ratbag"

Me either, that one came out of the 81 diesel that I used for the axle and trans swap.

Our c60 has one that is totally different.

Picked this up yesterday. :D
It was the truck I stole a few hydro boost parts off of for my truck. It was at a farm just up the road from ours he said If I wanted it come and get it.

I just got it for parts...I`m saving the frame for Rene so he can make his c10 a 4x4. :thumb::popcorn:

So no dd build than?

Looks like a good score :waytogo:

Lol! Nope! :haha:

Not much to work with on that one.

Did take the front yoke off it today. Now I can get the front shaft back into Ratbag. Kind of gay it being a two wheel drive. :doah:

Seen a spool for a 14 bolt on Kijjiji for 200.00 I wouldn`t mind getting it, but I think I`ll just weld it up.

That's one way to load a trailer.

Martin

Yeah 4 flat tires no steering column sitting for years with pipes and fence posts all around it frozen into the ground no winch on my trailer...thought it would be quicker to drive our loader down there. The body is shot anyway.

Ah! Much better than my homemade GMC caps!

Amazing how hard those caps are to find these days...thanks a ton Jesse! :waytogo:

I owe you big time!! :D

Got a few things done!

Finally got a new yoke off that pile of junk I picked up after New years.
So I got that swapped on to the ten bolt and got the front drive shaft back in. Nice to have four wheel drive again. :thumb:

Then I got sick of my oil pan sitting on my cross member so I went though this. :doah:

Got a good inch of clearance between the pan an cross member now! :woot:
Also adjusted the transfer case linkage so the shifter lines up with the indicator in the cab.

Getting better all the time!

Funny Story!

Some of you guys have met my son Colby...

So Colby was helping me yesterday with my motor mounts, he was laying on the floor running the hydraulic bottle jack we had to lift the 454 up and down while I was playing with the mounts.

When I got the 77 body I had on of those plates on the bumper. I just left it on there forever just because.

So he asks me WTF is that suppose to mean anyway? Heart Beat Of America...

Well I start telling him...It`s the heart you got to have a good heart to make everything work good.

With out any hesitation he says... Well then what does that make a Ford the Ass hole!! :haha::haha:

I just about craped myself laying under the truck!

Always a good time working with Colby! Makes me so proud! :thumb:

I can hear those words coming out of his mouth
Well done Konrads!

I painted my 16.5s They were nasty rusty looking. I would have painted them white but I was to lazy to get them sand blasted. And I didn`t have any white paint. Spent ten minutes a wheel sanding them and gave them a quick spritz of black.
I got a set of 16s that I`ll get blasted and paint white.

I really would like a set of 16x8s... one day!
