77 The Black Truck "Ratbag"

It was a dirty old soup kitchen, I didn’t get a pic of it the other day.

I can say that a solid receiver hitch makes for a good Mexican swing press. And that fancy Milwaukee impact of Colby’s is 3 tits.
Yeah I got one of those on the service van. It'll twist a nut for sure

What did the van do to deserve that?
Jesse is telling the truth. The van was made into a garabage trailer by the guy we bought the land from in Alberta. He lived in a old house down the road from where we built our new barn site. Dan bought the old house 12 years ago and that trailer was still sitting on the yard full of bagged household garbage. Dan moves the trailer out back with the garbage still in it and it sits there full for all those years. Real gross!
Long story short we emptyed the van and I took the rear end.

How’d you get that last shackle bolt out Dean?
Took our generator out and cut it out with a cut off wheel.

Lol! I’ll post some pics up one day....
The garbage was so old it was compost. Didn’t smell, just dusty. I had a mask!

Some guy from Saskatchewan with a Bigblock round eye inspired me to get mine running for the first time in 2020.

When I parked it before winter started I neglected to pull the battery out of it. Took it out a month ago and brought it into my garage. It was frozen solid. I let it thaw out for a few days and charged it with my little battery tender. Didn’t think it would work worth a shit but it does!
Took the battery a booster pack a few Oz of gas loaded it onto my quad and took it out to the truck.

The battery fell off the front rack of the quad and landed in 2 feet of snow upside down. Dug that out and lifted the hood. The 454 was covered in snow, lots on top of the dizzy and air cleaner. Chucked the battery in the truck took the air cleaner lid of and dumped a bit of gas down the quad. Hooked up the booster pack for add kick.
Hit the key and she started instantly, ran for a few seconds and stalled. Colby dumped a bit more gas down the carb and we tried again. Fired up instantly again, a bit of feathering the throttle and she was running smooth on its own.
I used it to check the cows outside and Colby drove around in it for a few laps around the yard.

Fun to get the old girl out and about!

I have video of it running and one of me and Frank going for a ride but I can’t get videos to load? :dunno:
