OK Rene' I think it would then....Dean when you get the manifold off, you might be able to see the lobe on the front that drives the pump pushrod in front of the lifter lobes...

I had a re-ringed 350 sitting in the old man's machine shed for a few years, and the dog ripped off the plastic engine bag. It had a bird nest in the lifter valley, I cleaned it out(ish) and it ran.

I' ll take it off and clean it... I wanted to take it off for paint anyhow.I'll get mine checked soon Dean when I finally get to the FI system on the Maiden. I will have to block off the fuel pump plate so I'll check ot then but like Rene says I think its less than the lift of a lifter lobe.
Clean it up best you can, start with a clean oil pan and pump and let it fly!
