77 The Black Truck "Ratbag"

Fock me!!! You are a dink!:haha: Good god...that's why I hate you!!! :pimp:

I`m talking about your engine pics btw! :D

Your style alt should mount the same as my old crap. The way I got it is just upside down with the factory pivot mount going the head bolt hole and that cardboard bracket up front.

This way is kind of cool cause the belt is nice and short and it keeps it out of the way of anything up top like the air cleaner. Plus it has been free so far! :D

A piece of advice from when I made my alternator bracket is make sure the geometry of the adjustment works. My first attempt at it the alternator had plenty of adjustment but it was in the perfect spot where it almost just rotated in a circle and would never tighten the belt enough.

Good advice!
I tried it with a belt...should work good.

Got the PS brackets pretty much figured out, just need the make a spacer and weld on a couple of nuts to the backside of the brackets.

Lookin good, Dean. :waytogo:

I wonder if the CNC could cut up a new speed square for ya. Then you can lose the plastic one. I still can't believe you haven't changed out the blade yet.:haha:

I like my plastic one.

And I`m saving the blade because it was a special gift from a good friend of mine!! :D

Dave do you remember the plasma table at the hutterite colony we were looking at. Jonathan took my template put it in his computer and cut it out for me...he made me two of them. And he only charged me 10.00 :thumb:

Thanks!

I do remember, nice place to hangout!
Awesomerest!

Cleaned up the alternator bracket gave it some paint and there it`s done.

I`ll change the water pump pulley to a double later,I didn`t have a spare one kicking around.

Back in it`s corner till I find some more parts for it.
