77 The Black Truck "Ratbag"

Must be that time of year...in pieces...need to limp it back into the garage.

Not to big of a deal but haven't had much time. The starter is Focked, I got three spares and not one or a combination of the three will work with out smacking it with a hammer first!?? No kidding! :doah:Spent a good part of this afternoon trying to get one of them to go.

The steering column is shorting out...thought that was the starting problem.. it`s not! :doah: So that is all ripped apart. The heater core is pissing on the floor, and the water pump sprung a leak from the weep hole.

Truck needs a bit of TLC.

Usually comes in bunches Dean...and usually when you have the least.time or.money to deal with it.

Lol! No Doubt guys!

Just managed to get one of my starters to work and a steering column from a 76 auto stuffed back in it.

Cheep Like 200.oo/300.00 for the year or so.
It needs some wiring fixed for turn signals and brake lights... and a bunch of other small details, one of these days I`ll get around to fixing all the little things.

Do you have inspections?

Martin
Unsure about Deans province.

But in ours it can be plated as an antique which is $175 a year. Only liability insurance/vehicle must be 30 years old/ with out an appraisal-package policy you get nothing for it if it's written off.

If I plate it as a normal vehicle, it's around $450 a year and you get book value in a accident.

Only inspections in ours is roadside stops, traffic blitz etc etc.

You can also transfer insurance on an antique province to province with no inspection here.
