77 The Black Truck "Ratbag"

Ah yes. I'm not exactly opposed to that style. But personally I would toss the 52s in and do real cross over the right way at my earliest convenience and just rock push pull in the mean time.

That might happen.... then I just nead a steering arm for a 4 inch lift till I find everything else.

Drove my 77 for the fist time since October...well I did start it up and moved it into the garage a month ago to fix a few things.
It needed the starter replaced, leaky water pump, and heater core. then it went back outside to sit on the driveway again till yesterday.

I wanted its spot on my driveway for the craptacular 79 c10 I got from the neighbour, Colby wanted to get it running and then slowly start making a 4x4 out of it...we have most of the parts laying around to build it, but in was all depending on if the 350 would run good enough to save.
We lets just say that I don`t think it will ever run again...seized up solid... and I don't want to spend much more time on it. Plus the cab is in worse shape "rust wise" than I thought.

So more than likely we will use it for parts, mainly I want to upgrade the wiring on my 77 to 79 version with the blade style fuses.

The wiring on my 77 is kind of hacked and the 79 is all nice and stock with all the factory clutch peddle switches and reverse light wiring and whatnot.

Anyways it was a fun little rip in the Ratbag yesterday! Big Blocks sound so cool at WOT! :D

Your gonna have to come get your winch bumper. I'm not looking forward to removing the 8274!!

You should take the purple hornies off my k20 and slap em on the ratbag.....

Must have been nice to drive it! Ive missed mine all winter and now its nice out and its in pieces haha. Thats a bummer the c10 is a bust, but its a score its got stock wiring for you to use. I loved ripping the ratbag up the road at your place. My k5 has BB envy , :yikes:

It is fun! Yours will be back soon enough, you are doing a great job on it!

Thanks!

Got any plans for the truck this summer?

We got it turning over with the starter, and it even made starting noises. I think there is still diesel fouling the plugs and stuff, and the battery we were using wasn't super good. I don't think it's gonna take much more to get it running.

Hows oil pressure?
Dean can you use that dist housing we used on your BBC to get oil pressure on it before spinning it anymore?
Project gangrene....love it!
