Working the list down....

what color wires go to the fuel tank on a 77, and do they come from the inside of the fuseblock or outside (engine compartment)?

Also checked the distributor, drive gear looks like it did in 2012 when I checked it....could use a replacement gear.
I have a billet MSD to put in, but it will require some wiring changes, that I dont want to get into right now...so run it!
Cant find my timing light??? Dammit
Got a few lights working that weren’t cooperating, all lights work again...don't have a license light, oh well.
Need a fan speed switch, anybody got one to sell?

Tan/white? What wire exactly you looking for?

Tan wire is highlighted in tan. Gages to fuse block #30, then to the tank
This is from a K10/20/30 diagram. I think that part is the same. Dual tank would switch the wire to the other sender, color is the same

Well I dont really know what wire is supposed to go to the fuel sending unit....there are 4 wires that run to the back, I presumed to feed the light circuits, but is that only 3? There is lt green dark green brown and yellow.
there is also this brown and blue wires that aren’t in use but not long enough to reach the back...The blue one has a sending unit plug on it

So just a single tan wire to the sender then? Thats probably the one that is cut off.
Is there a way to test the wire to the gauge? Can I artificially make the gauge work?

Blue might be the plate lamp

It has the sending unit plug on it, like an oil pressure switch, or brake prop valve switch...Im using a mechanical gauge....and its way to short to reach the back.

Ok, first. Dk Brown to the plate lamp

thinking that blue might be right

The diagram shows the dk blue going to the engine oil pressure, and the 4 wires together going to the back I assume....it has to be that tan wire that is cut.

What about the reverse light? I should pull one of the tail lights back out and look at wire colors!

Cooling system has been working great....need to time it though!
Would be nice to know fuel level on the trail!...I’m using a dipstick right now, and with the back full of stuff, the hatch isn't easy to get to.

Fill it everyday, you’ll be fine

I’d go with the tan wire. It’s the ground for the gage, and varies through the movement of the float. Gage is reading the resistance

Check the wire pattern at the firewall connection. Should match the first diagram. If not, call me the morning
