thanks guys, I am happy with the way that turned out, it will probably be the hardest of what I have left on the cage.
And Stump, that cage is usable as is, but is a compromise of what could be better I think. If you have it already, just look at mine and realize the only bars that are in the kit that we used on mine are the b hoop and the halo. The halo is lower than it could be, but still works ok, and the b hoop actually fits good I think. The S&W A pillars looked like they were expected to go in front of the dash, which to me, cut into the legroom/footwell area too much for getting in and out. So we went through the dash on those. I think if I had to do this all over again, I would buy a better bender (although this Speedway bender I have is working good for a benchtop model) and learn how to do it myself, and make it fit better. I will end up using all the tubing I bought with their kit, but just not as intended, and I also added another 4 sticks to the equation to get what I will have in the end.

No problem there, its already showing wear and tear :eek1:

Tomorrow headed to Shady's to look at his CC Dually.

Them bars look awsome man.:waytogo: Its gonna be a nice cage when ya get done. The s&w was a decent base could have been better , but a good B hoop is the foundation. At least it had that. I'm lookin forward to you showin up sunday, and I hope the CC is what your looking for. Have a good trip, its not a bad drive at all:thumb:

yeah I think the cage will turn out pretty good with what else I have in mind.

I've driven to Joliet many times, so another couple hours west should be easy.
See ya tomorrow Rick

Let me guess...the humid air's rusting everything up!
Well, we got to fabbing stuff up on build week, so a lot of metal dust was flying, and then I got caught outside in the rain with it, pushing it from the garage to the shop, so all that metal dust started to rust....

THATS MICHIGAN FOR YA!!!! We just be rustin all day ery day up in dis Biatch!!! lol
sucks at times don't it Adam?

What's up there? You want a dually? Looking for a different tow rig? What's the scoop? How many questions can I fit in one line?
Rick has a 88 Dually K30, 454, T400, 205 he's trying to get rid of, so I went to look at it. Yeah I thought that if I need a dedicated tow rig a square body would be the sh!t to tow the IronMaiden with. SO I'm on the hunt for a decent frame/body to work with. Another future project for sure.
Any more questions...:thumb:

Yeah, did you buy it?

Nope, I think Rick bought it with the intention of making a off roading CC.
The frame has some rust and repairs I didn't feel comfortable using as a tow vehicle.
Still looking...

I'm leaning toward finding some tires and continuing with my plans on the CC. after finding the rear frame in that condition I dont know if it will ever sell:doah:. I'll keep it on the market and see what happens.:dunno: At least you got to see the burb.:D

good luck Rick, it has some great parts in it, and a lot of potential for the right purpose.

To tell the truth the cost of a set of 38-40's is the only reason I even thought of selling it. I need something to run with you guys at blazer bash and such though. With a rig like yours to follow around occasionally I'm gonna need something STOUT to keep up:D. I'll always advertise it but I may start a tire search anyway. I mean the frames already been cut so it should be simple right:rolleyes:.
