Thinking of having a weather tarp made to cover up for overnight/not in use.
Maybe some side flaps w/ screens to allow fresh air to flow through while sleeping in it.
My crude attempt at a paint modified pic and the tarp material I plan on using. Its heavy duty truckers tarp stuff. Thoughts?

Would it be easier to have it cover the entire truck? Maybe use bumpers and rockers for tie downs?

Fwiw, Softopper sells the snap strip that goes across the top of the windshield frame separately for about $40. It would make a good attachment point. I bought one to use for a custom bikini top (one day).

I know a couple guys that have done stuff like that for their Jeeps.

Not the mass produced ones but a custom one. One buddy sewed in magnets, they are good magnets, I have seen it stay in place in some strong winds.

Make sure the tarp is water proof and I would defiantly do a couple windows.

Cool idea

Rare Earth Magnets FTW.

Make sure its tight or the flapping might keep you up. Id still have some provisions for a pair of straps just in case.

That's a really good idea. Can't wait to see what you put together on this. I would like to do something like this. Not so much for the sleeping part, more for storage.
