Man I really need to get mine weighed. Id say other than tires we gotta be damn close.

Really? I would think between the axles and his engine he would be heavier.

I trussed both of mine, I really don't think a 14ff weighs much more than my rear after handling both of them.

Im betting im at 6.

Sorry for hijack dave.

Dave is definitely with the big block and doubler.

That said, I would think 5800+ is the norm.
I scaled my 72 K5 a couple times. Cage, winch and spare. All iron 350/465/205

No doors or top as a 3/4 -5100

Top doors with d60. -5800

Yeah she's a bit on the portly side!
Great comments guys. Got a good laugh outta them!
Still waiting on a couple of ballpark estimates for a topper!
Only one Ive got so far was $1100....yeah no thanks then.
The beadlocks will add maybe another 200 lbs?
I weighed a headlock/tire combo...(same size/type of tire) and it was 168lbs

We never did get a boat in with the kind of cover I was telling you about... But I did do some searching to find the clips I was talking about. I figured you could cut these to your desired length and sew them on the edges to clip on your fender lip or a pinch weld or whatever you have left of your body. https://www.wsusol.com/c-209-auto-j-clips.aspx

No problem, its all constructive!
And thanks for the link to those clips...I'll bring those up with whomever I decide to go with.

And I am REALLY glad I didn't go Small Block in the Maiden. I love my BBC!

Shit...$800 for a custom topper....I guess I'll persue other routes...

and a reference pic on the plug for the EFI tuner.... from EFIconnection, this should keep the water/dust out of the plug for the tuner. part # 100-00537

Sounds about right on the top.

I can bring my blazer cover I got from LMC to nates if you wanna check it out. I think it was the medium grade one for like $120. It kept the blazer nice and dry when it spent a winter outside.

Maybe you could buy one and mod it? You can get the little kit for pressing in tarp rings to it for really cheap.

Cut the thing to the shape you want, and then add the rings, and have a seamstress sew the cut edge so it doesn't fray.
