I wish I had that much time!!!
Leaving my house on the 2nd.

I have to slow Kert down!

We’re hopefully racing his Camaro Fri-Mon. Will head for Moab on Tuesday the 8th, hopefully arrive intact on Wed sometime.

Wade you’re right, I wouldn't be getting anything done if I was still employed!

everybody’s nemesis...rust!
I think when the body shop cut through the bondo it allowed water in and started the process we all love!
I guess me hitting a tree didn't help either?

Where does that wood screw go?

EDIT: There are fewer layers of history to study at the grand canyon.

mostly true Luke...I think that screw just plugged a hole...I tacked it in place.
This body is such a POS, but paint will be much better for it in the weather than the primer was.

I find it amusing out of everything on your list you tackled the cosmetic problem first, it must of really bothered you! :waytogo:

A new windshield is coming this week, so the paint had to get done soon. Hopefully I’ll be done squirting paint by this weekend. It’ll look OK from 50’....lol
Ive had the paint sitting in the shop for about 6 years now, decided now was the time! I may have to evaluate the list as crunch time gets closer!

Yup it would take me way too long to get this body nice...just not worth the effort. The plan was to just get something more weather resistant than the primer, and the truck has identified with a Frankenstein kinda look and the color has grown on myself as well as many others, so a fresh update of it (with a bit brighter green) I think will look good.

and at least I pulled the emblems and lights out of it!
