'78 K10 Build

Had to replace my Ford starter solenoid cause my old one tried to burn my truck to the ground. Also replaced the positive and negitive cables. Starts much better now.

The new driveshaft is too short and popped out already. Never had that happen on the old one, so now I have to go argue with ITP.

I didnt realize until now that I hadnt posted in this thread yet.

One of my favorite trucks on ck5, and a build VERY similar to what I want to do.

Some random pics from this week & tonight

I no longer hate carburetors nearly as much thanks to John. My truck runs 100x better and is so much more tolerable to cold start and drive. I'd almost go as far as to say it's as responsive as a fuel injected vehicle :D.

I also put these bumper guards on for those who haven't seen my bumper thread.

bumper

Yes! The bumper guards are exactly what it needed imo. Had a 79k5 and I went through hell trying to figure out what looked good on the front.

Yeah, that's kind of where im at. Altought I think these fit the truck pretty well. I still want one of these brush guards cause for some reason I really like them.

I think it now needs a visor, chrome handles on the cab sides, running boards and curb feelers. It looks like an old man truck with those silly chrome teeth.

I don't think they're that bad, but I know what you mean. If I can get a brush guard I will probably put one on and never mess with it until I get some kind of custom bumper made.

stylei

I like your style man. Have similar tastes that I do. As for the brush guard... I have one on my 96 z71 :D. Mine is a $400 westin push bar I got on craigslist for dirt cheap. When I get my project most likely it will come off this one and go to the other one (if it bolts up). If not then ill get another one!!!

You guys need to do more shopping here.

Just search "chrome geegas" It should include chrome radiator covers, chrome hood caps, chrome headlight covers, chrome window visors, and various other chrome pieces to help you have the baddest truck at the assisted living center. FYI I heard old chicks are easy and they out number the guys like 5 to 1.
