'78 K10 Build

I had the same thing when I put the 52's in the front with an ez inch and moved the axle forward an inch. Once I did my hydro assist, not even a hint of death wobble. If you want to look at my thread again, I was less than $300 into my hydro assist and it's working like a dream now. I had to work some kinks out of it, but now it's awesome. I even splurged a little and got a full d60 diff cover with the ram assist mount from diy4x. So you could save some more if you don't go that route. If it is really annoying, this might be your next step with this rig

If this HD dampner doesn't do anything, I'll have to do that probably. It's ridiculous to drive right now.

Make sure your toe is set right. Plus any wear in the tie rod ends will cause bad steering. Why don't you try taking the steering stabilizer off and driving down the road a little ways to see if the problem gets better. Then you know that's what it was.

Wouldn't it get worse if I took it off?

I was thinking more of a band aid than a fix, but if it works, that's all good too.

Why do you think GM put steering stabilizers on them from the factory? Not because they wanted to spend a few extra dollars on a few million trucks for ****s and giggles......

Who cares about death wobble? You made truck of the month, so obviously there's no point in trying to ever improve anything ever again. You have peaked. It's been a good ride.

Well, I still wanna drive it!

I have a dream that one of these days It will have, Fuel Injection, a Hydraulic clutch, and Hydro assist. Then maybe I will be able to drive it on the street and on the trail without wanting to kill myself.

Picked this up yesterday at the local pick n pull. Too bad the trans was already gone, but they left this. Pretty sure it was hydroboost, so does that mean I have to convert mine to hydroboost to use it?

I don't think it matters for the clutch. I don't think it has to have a vacuum line going to it. I don't know why it would. Did you get the slave cylinder to go with it?

I think someone sells a bracket to mount a slave cylinder on your mechanical bell housing.

I have a hydro boost you can have if you pull it. Unless Craig already did.

I think the brake pedal is different, but he may be able to just swap the clutch pedal onto his existing pedal bracket. I'm not sure.
