I have a hydro boost setup that I pulled off a C30. I believe it is complete, if you want it.

Ther is a difference with hydo stuff.....may just be the bend in the pedal or maybe the hole location for the push rod ....I can't remember. There is a thread in the garage about hydro boost swap.....it a pretty recent one and there were good pics showing the differences.

I don't think it matters for the clutch. I don't think it has to have a vacuum line going to it. I don't know why it would. Did you get the slave cylinder to go with it?

No, it looked all crappy and oily. The rubber line going to the master was also cracked so I figured I'd just buy a new one.

I think someone sells a bracket to mount a slave cylinder on your mechanical bell housing.

Martin

hmmmm wonder if this would work as good as a hydro bell?

I believe the only difference is the mounting tab, but I could be wrong. I have one of each sitting around, I could sure look at them both and check.

Is it a huge pain in the ass to do? Worth it?

Trying to figure out where to drill holes to mount this thing is going to be a nightmare.

If you could that'd be awesome.

All this hyro talk is making me jealous I think it's time

It is a little bit of work, you have to change power steering pumps, and all of those hoses. Mine are all kind of filthy, so I am sure they all leak, but you could have new ones made. The brakes will be better, but then when you go to hydro assist, you will really be taxing your pump.

I am sure the holes are the same, but why can't you just leave your pedals in there, and just swap the actual clutch pedal into what you already have?

If you could that'd be awesome.

I can't find a mechanical housing. I just had one the other day. I have one on the back of a 454 that I need to take off anyway. Just looking at them, it seemed like the clutch fork came through in the same place.

All my hydro stuff is happy with my pump and the redneck ram pump mods.

My new cab had all the holes and the clutch master fit in a hole that was filled with wires I removed.

I imagine the hydroboost and vacuum brakes use the same four mounting bolt holes, not?

I posted a couple pics for John to use as reference when he swapped to hydraulic clutch. Can't remember if it was on here or SCR.

Deathwobble = gone. I don't know if its all in my head but it seems to ride a lot smoother up front. :dunno:

Now I am ready for the river! :D Finally got a CD player and some cupholders! Excuse my ****ty trim job around the CD player, kind of hard to guess where its going to sit. I will make it pretty some day. So happy to have cup holders now.

Putting this to use now as my new mini toolbox.
