'78 K10 Build

Change of plans. I bought this POS for dirt cheap. (Probably more than Marty would pay though :haha:)

The reason I bought it.

So I am going to put this TBI in my K10 and part out and scrap the rest. Let me know if you are interested in any of the parts on it. I should be able to get my money back out of it no problem and have a TBI engine. The PO has records of either a new engine or rebuilt engine 30k miles ago, so thats nice. It seems to run good, but the rear axle is blown to pieces and not sure about the trans yet. Soon as I get that crusty K1500 out of my dads place I am going to start the TBI/Hydro clutch swap in the K10 :woot:

Kay86K5 inspired this purchase, and the fact that this popped up on craigslist super cheap and I couldn't pass.

Don't let the pics fool you, it's really rusty and needs a lot of work. Just happened to see some kid selling it at the right time and picked it up.

Oh it looked pretty strait.

Your k10 is going to be pretty much exactly what I wanted to build with mine.

I have several half ton axles (my supply is dwindling, I've given too many away). This would make more sense to me.

Martin

Yeah that would make more sense, but I still don't know the condition of the trans. PO said it was bad, but im thinking he didn't know better and it was just the rear. It will barely move with the driveshaft disconnected and the kid said he drove it with the front axle dragging the rear tires. I wonder if he had taken the driveshaft out before he did that...

Does that mean you are offering to sell me a rear axle if you have one in the right gearing?

Haha...I feel honored. It really did make sense to me. Considering now I can have a bunch of misc parts laying around that I can use in the future, and sell off a bunch of stuff that I will never use, I can make enough money back to at least brake even on the whole purhcase....oh.....and FINALLY having fuel injection :woot:

Sweet that you found a K10 so you could probably use the saddle tanks with the fuel pump. That's why I looked for either a blazer or burban so I could use the tanks and make it simpler.
