Yes the don't generally come cheap. $50 is by far the best price I've ever seen.

I think this axle was in a truck that caught on fire. That would explain the melted lockout switch, no bushings on the drag link or shock and this...

I'm thinking you may be correct, I would check it over really good before spending any more cash, just in case.... I don't know how much heat it would take to warp the housing, but at the very least I would expect to do a full rebuild, as I would guess every seal should be replaced.

I wouldn't worry about the housing. It got hot but is the chrome even discolored on the lockout?

It still has grease in the bearings.

Yeah I will check everything over before installing it. I'd guess the housing is fine. John the chrome on the lockout looks almost new still.

Well that's good, couldn't have been too hot then. Still crazy to see the king pin bushing melted.

Hey do you know of a Snyder Inc or industries or something? Sii is there logo. Ive was vacuuming 8500 gallon chemical tanks all day today and they said lincoln nebraska on the top

I plan to stay with them for a while since I have the DRW 60 now. Ill just keep running spacers in the rear. I would really like to sell or trade the 24 bolt wheels for all matching 12 bolt wheels at some point though.
