So I picked up 96 k3500 with bent frame but lowish miles .
I decided that truck needs a Cummins to be of any actual use for me so the 454/4L80E is going in the 79 with a 91 VSS NP205 replacing the Borg Warner case that’s in the 96 .
I am currently doing the research on what harness I want to use .

I have a parts truck with a good frame , this one could maybe fixed but it’s just easier to build out the other frame and then swap to this body .
So you want a gas truck or just because you have it?
I would have expected a diesel
So I was going to diesel swap this truck (79) but I just want this as more of cruiser .
The 96 needs a diesel, so the diesel swap materials from the 79 are going in the 96
Tires and wheels , probably do a 6” lift with a zero rate and 1” body lift .
I bought headers , Wiring harness , muffler , and a valve train conversion kit.
No actual work performed yet , yard is very soft I can’t even get to where the truck is yet with out sinking in the mid about 6”

Because This was a cheaper option, used tanks are not really feasible up here , nor would I want them anyways.
buying new tanks, pumps , and sending units would have cost much more especially with shipping.
I got these from a local shop with free shipping, at wholesale price .
ah o.k. ..... i just know i am in to my new spectra tank / sender / pump for way less than just 1 of there tanks .

I’m putting a L29 (carbed) in a 86 C10.
Stock heads with company cams springs and the adjustable valvtrain kit, Harland sharp roller rockers and all the trimmings.
I sprung for a Custom grind Straub cam, pushrods etc. engine only has about 20k on a really high quality stock rebuild.
So are you going to keep the EFi? I’m trying to work out a budget friendly fuel system.
